Our Competition Process
The Chariton Review Short Fiction Prize entry is checked for adherence to our competition guidelines. A clerk enters contact information for each entrant in our database. The manuscripts are screened and about 25 manuscripts are sent to a final judge.
- We confirm the receipt of a manuscript if a self-addressed envelope or postcard is submitted with the entry.
- We post finalists and winner names on our website. We publish the winner and finalists in the Spring issue of The Chariton Review.
- We send the Spring prize-winning issue to all entrants who have a current address.
